The 2021 Busan Youth Dream Car Support Project is a program in collaboration with Busan City that provides electric cars and supports vehicle rental fees for up to two years to young people newly employed in the industrial complexes of the eastern and western Busan areas, where public transportation conditions are poor.
Renault Samsung Motors has supported a total of 330 SM3 Z.E vehicles over the past three years, and from this year, it has newly provided the Zoe. To offer sufficient driving range in urban areas with an average daily driving distance of around 50 km at a reasonable price, the Zoe is equipped with a 54.5 kWh battery, enabling a driving range of 309 km per charge (395 km based on WLTP standards).
The selected youth can operate the electric car at an affordable cost of around 200,000 KRW per month, including car insurance, automobile tax, and inspection fees.
Because of this, 108 applicants participated in the 2nd recruitment of the Busan Youth Dream Car Project, which recruited a total of 35 people, recording a high competition rate of about 3 to 1.
