Daejeon City to Temporarily Close Public Sports Facilities Until Early Next Month... Refunds for Usage Fees Provided
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Thirty-seven public sports facilities under the jurisdiction of Daejeon City will be closed until the 4th of next month.
On the 24th, the city announced that it would temporarily close public sports facilities until the 4th of next month in accordance with the upgrade to social distancing level 3.
The sports facilities temporarily closing include Hanbat Sports Complex, Wolpyeong Cycling Stadium, Hanmaeum Sports Center, World Cup Stadium, Bokyong Equestrian Center, Deokam Football Center, Disabled Sports Center, Yongun International Swimming Pool, National Life Hall, Hanbat Baseball Stadium, and others.
Remaining usage fees incurred during the closure period have been refunded, and the closure period may be extended depending on the COVID-19 situation.

Son Cheol-woong, Director of the City’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, said, “We decided to temporarily close public sports facilities to prevent further spread of COVID-19 and protect citizens’ safety,” adding, “We ask for the understanding of citizens who use the sports facilities.”
