Jindo-gun Increases Newlywed Couple Marriage Incentive by 3 Million Won
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, is increasing the newlywed couple marriage incentive by 3 million won.
On the 23rd, according to Jindo-gun, to encourage marriage among young people and support stable living, the newlywed couple marriage incentive will be expanded from 2 million won to 3 million won.
The marriage incentive support is for young couples under the age of 49 who registered their marriage after January 1, 2021, with at least one spouse being a first-time newlywed.
Also, as of the marriage registration date, at least one spouse must have had a resident registration address in Jeollanam-do for more than one year (more than six months in Jindo-gun), and at the time of applying for the marriage incentive, both spouses must have resident registration addresses in Jindo-gun.
Applications can be made by visiting the relevant eup/myeon office, and cases where either spouse has already received the incentive or has moved to another region are excluded.

A representative from the Jindo-gun Job Investment Division said, “We recently completed the ordinance revision to expand the marriage incentive to support the stable life of newlyweds and overcome the population decline issue,” adding, “We continue to operate various population inflow support policies such as moving-in incentives (300,000 won), childbirth incentives (5 million to 20 million won), and newborn childcare support (500,000 won).”
