President Moon said, "After many twists and turns, the Tokyo Olympics will finally open tomorrow. Although there are still many concerns, I hope it will overcome all difficulties and become a safe and successful festival for the world, and I pray that the Olympics will be an opportunity for the world to unite and reflect on the values of solidarity and cooperation."
President Moon said, "I believe in the healing and unifying power of sports. During difficult times nationally, our people have found great comfort and inspiration through sports and have become one. I hope the Tokyo Olympics will be a stage that gives comfort and hope to our people tired from COVID-19 and unites the nation."
President Moon emphasized, "I look forward to the excellent performance of our national team athletes who have prepared with sweat for one more year. I hope you enjoy the games and fully demonstrate the skills you have honed. Regardless of winning medals, the people will wholeheartedly support the athletes who do not give up and do their best until the end."
President Moon said, "The most important thing is the safety and health of the athletes. The government will do its best to ensure that the athletes can compete safely from COVID-19 and maintain their best condition.
