As the population flowing into the Namak and Oryong new towns gradually increases, the county established the New Town Support Team directly under the governor, led by a level 4 director, on the 5th to proactively respond to the rapidly increasing civil complaints and administrative demands.
The event was attended by Governor Kim San, Chairman of the County Council Kim Dae-hyun, provincial and county council members, and local residents. Considering the recent spread of COVID-19, the event was held on a minimal scale while adhering to quarantine guidelines.
The New Town Support Team, located on the first floor of the Namak Complex Community Center (40 Namak 3-ro, Samhyang-eup), consists of six teams. It is an organization that handles maintenance of urban infrastructure, apartment complexes, park facilities in the Namak and Oryong districts, as well as various civil complaint tasks closely related to residents' lives, including tax, welfare, transportation, and architectural administration.
With the establishment of this support team, it is expected that high-quality public services can be provided to new town residents.
Governor Kim San stated, “We have established a system where residents can resolve basic civil complaints within the new town without having to visit the county office,” and added, “We will do our best to create a comfortable and livable premium new town.”
