ETF for the MZ Generation Selected by Samsung Asset Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] Samsung Asset Management on the 21st recommended 10 ETFs out of its 107 ETFs for the MZ generation interested in pension investment using exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
According to recent analysis of financial sector usage by the MZ generation, brokerage-type IRPs that allow real-time trading of securities company ETFs and direct trading of stocks including ETFs are receiving great attention in the retirement pension and personal pension markets.
Accordingly, Samsung Asset Management selected 5 overseas and 5 domestic ETFs suitable for diversified investment, considering the representativeness of indices and currently notable sectors.
For overseas ETFs, they chose KODEX US FANG Plus (H), KODEX Developed Countries MSCI World, KODEX US S&P Industrials (Synthetic), KODEX US Semiconductor MV, and KODEX US Smile Mobility S&P.
The KODEX US FANG Plus (H) ETF, which has achieved a return of 190% since inception, invests equally in technology stocks that supply IT devices or content-related products and services mainly consumed by the MZ generation, such as Apple (iPhone, Mac, Watch), Google (YouTube, Search), Facebook (SNS), Nvidia (Gaming), and Netflix (Content).
For domestic ETFs, they recommended KODEX Automobile, KODEX 200, KODEX Secondary Battery, KODEX Semiconductor, and KODEX Steel.
The KODEX Automobile ETF is an ETF that invests in the domestic automobile industry, which has global competitiveness in both finished cars and automobile parts markets. It is a tailored product for long-term pension investment, expected to benefit from the expansion of the electric vehicle market.
