Tongyeong-si Holds Meeting to Strengthen Local Welfare Network

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Tongyeong City in Gyeongnam announced on the 21st that it held a meeting with key institutions of the 'Eokkaedongmu Network' project to provide customized welfare services to young and middle-aged single-person households under the age of 65 residing in the city.
The Eokkaedongmu Network is a regional welfare network composed of a total of 21 institutions, including 6 social welfare facilities and 15 eup, myeon, and dong, divided into three zones (Donghaeng, Nanum, Gongyu) to create a platform for communicating regional welfare issues and to solve local problems through public-private cooperation.
At this meeting, the results of the 2021 Tongyeong City single-person household survey and the main contents of the eup, myeon, and dong customized welfare team’s visiting tour meetings conducted in May were shared.
In addition, the future promotion procedures and public-private cooperation plans for zone-specific specialized projects to support single-person households, selected as a public service linkage strengthening project in residents' living sites, were discussed.
