NC Launches Web Browser-Based 'Web Streaming Play' Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] NCSoft announced on the 20th that it has introduced the web streaming play services ‘Purpleon Play’ and ‘Yeti Play,’ allowing games to be streamed directly through web browsers, becoming the first domestic game company to do so.
Users can remotely enjoy Lineage 2M and Lineage Remastered through Purpleon Play and Yeti Play. If the game is installed on the PC, it can be played on a web browser without any additional programs.
Purpleon Play and Yeti Play provide the same control feel and convenience as the actual game client. Input delay is minimized, enabling quick responses in situations such as sieges or PvP. Users can experience immersive gameplay on a wide screen.
NCSoft plans to sequentially apply web streaming play to currently serviced games and upcoming releases. They also plan to introduce a ‘Multiview’ feature that allows playing multiple games simultaneously and a function to share screens in real time with many users.
