[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it received a total of eight main awards, including the top prize, the 'Energy Grand Prize,' at the 'Energy Winner of the Year Awards' hosted by the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice.
The Energy Winner of the Year Awards are given to promote the production and consumption of high-efficiency products with excellent energy efficiency and savings effects. The 'Samsung Wind-Free System Air Conditioner 4Way' received this year's top prize, the Energy Grand Prize, as well as the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award. With this, Samsung Electronics has won the top prize for three consecutive years.
In addition, ▲ the 'Bespoke Grande Dryer AI' and 'Bespoke Dishwasher' received the 'Energy Efficiency Award,' ▲ the 'Bespoke Family Hub Refrigerator' and 'Solar Cell Remote Control' received the 'Energy Technology Award,' and ▲ the 'Galaxy Book Pro 360,' 'Bespoke Grande Washing Machine AI,' and 'System Air Conditioner DVM S2' each received the 'Energy Winner Award.'
Samsung Electronics has established and applied strategies to improve energy efficiency for each product to reduce greenhouse gases. Accordingly, it has cumulatively reduced 310 million tons of greenhouse gases generated during the product usage phase from 2009 to 2020.
