Daewon Media Launches 'Armored Saurus' IP Business... Simultaneous Terrestrial Broadcast and Toy Release
Ahead of Winter Break, Terrestrial Broadcast... Various Toy Products Also Released
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Daewon Media's long-anticipated 'Armored Saurus' has confirmed terrestrial broadcasting this winter. Following this, video services will be expanded through various channels such as online streaming platforms (OTT), alongside plans to promote the toy business.
Daewon Media announced its intellectual property (IP) business plan for the visual effects (VFX) animation 'Armored Saurus,' co-produced with Studio Eon, on the 19th.
First, terrestrial broadcasting will begin ahead of the peak winter vacation season this year. Afterwards, it will expand through various channels including cable and OTT.
Next, the IP business will be expanded through toys. Within three months after the initial broadcast, about 20 types of movable toys and figures will be directly planned, produced, and released. Additionally, a wide range of products such as combination toys are being prepared in collaboration with Academy Science, a major domestic toy manufacturer. Limited edition collectible figures for adults are also being planned.
Starting with broadcasting and toys, Daewon Media is in discussions with several domestic partners to expand the Armored Saurus IP into publishing, clothing, food and beverages, fancy goods, and miscellaneous products.
