Hancom MDS Acquires Healthcare Service Company 'Carelink'
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Hancom Group announced on the 19th that it will acquire a 63.4% stake in total healthcare service company 'Carelink' through its subsidiary Hancom MDS.
Founded in 2016, Carelink provides data-centered total healthcare services specialized in health checkup and health management, including the health checkup agency platform 'CareHealth' and genetic testing services.
Hancom MDS plans to promote a data analysis-based digital healthcare business by linking AI technology and cloud business with Carelink's healthcare service capabilities.
It offers a 'customized health checkup and health management service' where AI designs health checkups based on customer consent data. It also established its own genetic testing research institute to develop specialized services based on genetic data.
Along with entering the digital healthcare business through this acquisition, Hancom MDS will expand the proportion of new businesses such as AI, cloud, mobility, and metaverse, and diversify its business portfolio.

Hancom stated, "We also expect synergy creation with healthcare businesses within the group, such as Hancom Healthcare's diagnostic kits and diagnostic solution business, and Hancom People’s senior care services."
