Lotte Construction Launches 'Metaverse' Activation... Signs Business Agreement with Zigbang
Activation of PropTech
Lotte Construction partnered with Zigbang to create a Lotte Construction building within the virtual space of Metapolis
Lotte Construction announced on the 16th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Zigbang to promote real estate proptech using the 'metaverse' for the first time in the construction industry.
Proptech is a term combining property and technology, referring to real estate services that incorporate technologies such as mobile and big data. Through this agreement, Lotte Construction plans to lead residential culture in the proptech sector in the untact era.
Both companies agreed to link their respective capabilities and infrastructures to build a future-oriented business model. The main points of this agreement include ▲promotion and strengthening of competitiveness in the proptech business ▲development of spaces using offline digital galleries and the metaverse ▲enhancement of digital marketing for sales advertisements ▲cooperation to revitalize proptech.
Lotte Construction plans to accelerate digital transformation (DT) across its housing business through this collaboration. Additionally, they will create Lotte Construction spaces in 'Metapolis,' a virtual space developed by Zigbang, to strengthen communication with customers.
In this space, customers can directly tour residential products as avatars, eliminating the hassle of visiting offline model houses, and sales consultations and advertisements are also expected to take place within the metaverse space.
Ha Seok-ju, CEO of Lotte Construction, said, "By utilizing proptech technologies such as 3D and VR owned by Zigbang, we will discover sustainable new growth engines reflecting rapidly changing market trends and customer needs in the untact era."
Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang, stated, "We plan to cooperate so that Lotte Construction can become a new leader in the construction field by utilizing Zigbang’s VR, 3D, big data, and metaverse technologies."
