View original image[Asia Economy Kim Hyun-jun, Golf Specialist Reporter] Jihan Sol (25, Dongbu Construction), the 'E1 Charity Open Champion,' has seized the opportunity for her second win of the season.
On the 17th, at Lakewood Golf Course in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 6,539 yards), during the third day of the KLPGA Tour Evo Collagen Queens Crown (total prize money 800 million KRW), she surged to a tie for first place (14-under 202 strokes) with a storm of 7-under-par shots. Hyun Se-rin (20, Daebang Construction) and Jeon Ye-seong (20) shared the lead, while four players including Lee Da-yeon (24, Mediheal) and Heo Da-bin (23, Samil Pharmaceutical) were tied for fourth place (13-under 203 strokes), entering the final stage of the championship battle.
Jihan Sol had a strong run with a win at the E1 Charity Open in May, a runner-up finish at the Kyochon Honey Ladies, and third place at the Doosan Match Play. It was unfortunate that a wrist injury forced her to withdraw from the Lotte Open in June. Since then, she had been on a downward slope without breaking into the top 10 in four consecutive tournaments. Fortunately, she swept up 7 birdies on this day. Above all, her green hit rate of 94.44% and her 'precise iron shots' stood out. She expressed confidence, saying, "I finally played the way I intended."

After falling to a tie for 55th place (3-under par) by the 12th hole (par 3) in the second round and facing the risk of missing the cut, she surged to a tie for 20th place (6-under par) with a 3-under finish in the remaining six holes resumed that morning, but faltered again with 1-under par in the third round.
