Expansion of Support from Digital Devices like Mobile and Smart TV to PC
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 16th that it has launched the PC version of its video streaming service Coupang Play, enabling customers to conveniently watch on various digital devices.
Until now, Coupang Play has supported all mobile and tablet devices based on Android and iOS, and provided dedicated apps for Samsung and LG smart TVs as well as Chromecast connectivity. The newly introduced Coupang Play PC version has been added so that Coupang Wow Membership members can enjoy content in their preferred usage environment. Coupang Play plans to release an app dedicated to Android TV in the future.
On the same day at 8 PM, Coupang Play will digitally exclusively live stream the Hana Bank Invitational Olympic team send-off match against France at Seoul World Cup Stadium. From this match onward, viewers can enjoy the game vividly not only on smart TVs but also on screens connected to PCs, cheering for the Olympic men's soccer team.
