View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] In the early morning of the 16th, a fire broke out in a multi-family house in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, resulting in one death.
According to the fire authorities, at around 1:06 a.m. on the same day, a fire occurred in a four-story above ground and one-story underground multi-family house in Galhyeon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. About 30 residents evacuated or were rescued by the fire department. One woman in her 90s who was receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was transported to the hospital but died during treatment. A woman in her 50s is reported to be in critical condition. Twelve people were hospitalized after inhaling smoke.
The fire, which burned a house on the first floor and parked vehicles, was fully extinguished at around 3:37 a.m.

The fire authorities believe the fire started in the parking lot on the first floor of the building and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
