Muan Reports 1 Additional COVID-19 Case... Contact of Mokpo Confirmed Patient
[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] One new confirmed case of COVID-19 (Muan case number 47) has been reported in Muan, Jeollanam-do.
According to Muan County, the 47th confirmed case in Muan was classified as a close contact of Mokpo cases number 132 and 133, and tested positive after being tested on the 15th.
The county has completed disinfection of the residence of the 47th confirmed case in Muan and is conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation, including reviewing CCTV footage, to identify movement routes and contacts.
A Muan County official stated, “We will provide information on movement routes through the county website and disaster text messages based on the epidemiological investigation results. We will do our best to quickly find hidden infections and prevent spread by conducting contact tests and proactive testing when confirmed cases occur.”
He also urged, “Residents who suspect symptoms are requested to immediately visit the nearest screening clinic for testing.”
