Andong Mayor Kwon Young-se, Challenges the Withdrawal of Fukushima Nuclear Plant Contaminated Water Ocean Discharge

This challenge has been underway since April 13th to strongly condemn and revoke the Japanese government's decision to discharge approximately 1.25 million tons of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the ocean over 30 years starting in 2023.
Mayor Kwon Young-se stated, "Discharging radioactive contaminated water from the nuclear power plant into the sea is an issue directly related to the marine ecosystem and the lives of our people," and emphasized, "The Japanese government must immediately withdraw the decision to discharge contaminated water into the ocean."
