Recruitment of 'Sports Voucher Affiliated Facilities' in Seo-gu, Gwangju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 15th that it is recruiting affiliated facilities year-round for the Sports Lecture Voucher Support Project, which is being promoted to improve the health of vulnerable groups and expand opportunities for sports participation.

The 'Sports Lecture Voucher Support Project' is a program that supports tuition fees of up to 80,000 KRW per person per month for more than eight months each year, allowing basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income youth, and people with disabilities to use sports lectures.

There are only 134 affiliated facilities registered for youth sports lecture vouchers and 21 for disabled sports lecture vouchers in the district, which is far from sufficient for the beneficiaries to use the facilities they want.

Seo-gu is recruiting affiliated facilities for the Sports Lecture Voucher year-round to provide beneficiaries who wish to take sports lectures with a wider range of sports facility options and create an environment where they can learn various sports activities.

Since payment for the Sports Lecture Voucher is made only through online and mobile payments, facility registration and web merchant registration procedures are required.

Applicants must be sports facilities that provide monthly sports lectures under the 'Act on the Installation and Use of Sports Facilities.' After signing up as a facility member on the Sports Lecture Voucher website, they can apply for facility registration and web merchant registration.

A Seo-gu official said, "As the Sports Lecture Voucher Support Project contributes to improving the physical strength and health of low-income youth and people with disabilities, we hope that many local sports facility operators will show interest."
