Gwangju Seo-gu to Host 'Youth Harmony Square S·S Festival' on the 17th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 15th that it will hold the youth festival "Youth Harmony Yard 'S·S (Summer&Science) Festival'," a place where young people can freely showcase their talents and skills, at the Seo-gu Youth Training Center on the 17th.
The Youth Harmony Yard, planned directly by young people and participated in by local residents, serves as a festival venue contributing to the activation of communication between generations and the formation of a healthy leisure culture. It has been operated five times in total from the launch ceremony in May until October.
The upcoming Youth Harmony Yard S·S Festival this week consists of various programs such as ▲Youth Club Performance Yard ▲Play Yard ▲Food Yard.
Programs where youth clubs participate directly and activities that youth and local residents can join together will also be operated, including experience booths such as ▲Making eco-friendly water bottles Oho ▲Making insect repellent bracelets and sunglasses.
Seo-gu plans to conduct the event safely by thoroughly following COVID-19 prevention guidelines, including venue disinfection, limiting the number of participants, temperature checks, providing hand sanitizers, and maintaining visitor logs to relieve daily stress caused by COVID-19.
A Seo-gu official said, "Through the Seo-gu Youth Harmony Yard, we will provide a place where the youth, the future leaders, can freely express their dreams and talents, and we will do our best for the healthy growth and happiness of young people."
