PCR Testing Conducted for Over 70 Administrative Welfare Center Employees and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] As of 4 PM on the 14th, a total of 25 people in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Goyang City health authorities on the 15th, 2 cases were due to contact with confirmed cases from other regions, 11 were family transmissions, 5 were from contact with acquaintances, and the cause of the remaining 7 cases is under investigation.
By residence, 12 cases are from Deogyang-gu, 8 from Ilsandong-gu, 4 from Ilsanseo-gu, and 1 from other regions.
Meanwhile, one employee of the Wonsin-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Deogyang-gu tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the temporary closure and disinfection of the center on the previous day (14th).
The health authorities conducted PCR tests on about 70 employees of the center, and the results are expected to be released on the same day.
Civil complaints are being directed to use nearby centers such as Seongsa 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and a civil complaint transport vehicle is also being operated.
