View original imageOn the 15th, the number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) exceeded 1,600 for the second consecutive day. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters announced that as of midnight, 1,600 new cases were reported, following the previous day's record high of 1,615 cases, marking two consecutive days with over 1,600 daily confirmed cases since the outbreak began. Accordingly, since the fourth wave of the pandemic began in earnest on the 7th (1,212 cases), the daily new confirmed cases have remained above 1,000 for nine consecutive days.
