Kakao Quick Service Expands Nationwide... Surpasses 100,000 Couriers
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Mobility announced on the 15th that it will expand the service area of 'Kakao T Quick' nationwide.
Kakao Mobility initially launched the service targeting the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, but expanded the coverage nationwide within two weeks of its launch. Quick service orders can now be placed from anywhere in the country. The number of drivers has also surpassed 100,000.
Launched on the 30th of last month, 'Kakao T Quick' is a platform-based service that assists with the transportation of small parcels. In the Kakao T app, users can enter item information and pickup and delivery locations in the 'Quick·Courier' menu and request a delivery. A 'Kakao T Picker' driver, who is certified for the respective mode of transportation, will visit and deliver the item to the desired destination.
The usage fee is a dynamic rate that reflects distance, order time, characteristics of pickup and delivery locations, weather, and other factors. For courier services, transportation of small parcels (weighing 20kg or less, with the sum of length, width, and height not exceeding 140cm) is provided at 4,000 KRW.
Kakao Mobility is also conducting an event offering a 10,000 KRW coupon to first-time users.
