[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] Global financial firm Citigroup announced its second-quarter earnings for this year on the 14th (local time), surpassing expectations.
According to Citigroup's announcement, it posted revenue of $17.47 billion (approximately 20 trillion KRW) in the second quarter. This figure exceeds the market forecast of $17.2 billion (approximately 19.78 trillion KRW).
Additionally, Citigroup reported an operating profit of $6.193 billion (approximately 7 trillion KRW) for the second quarter.
