Suncheon City Conducts Joint Crackdown on Noisy Motorcycles and Illegal Modifications During Summer

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 14th that it will conduct joint crackdowns in response to the increasing number of citizens complaining about noise and other inconveniences caused by motorcycles.
The city plans to inspect violations of related laws, including exceeding noise emission standards, operating without license plates, and illegal tuning of lighting devices and mufflers, in cooperation with the Suncheon Police Station and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.
Before the joint crackdown starting on the 26th, the city notified representatives of delivery service companies about the crackdown and requested their cooperation in minimizing noise and ensuring safe driving.

A city official stated, “As the weather has recently become hotter, more citizens are living with their windows open, leading to a surge in complaints about the loud noise from motorcycles.
