Hapcheon-gun Raises Social Distancing to Level 2... Effective from July 15
Up to 8 people allowed in all areas, events and gatherings limited to 99 people
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will raise social distancing to Level 2 from 0:00 on the 15th until 24:00 on the 28th.
Gyeongnam Province reported 89 new confirmed cases in one day on the 13th, marking the highest number.
The province held sufficient discussions with 18 cities and counties to raise the social distancing level to Level 2.
With the upgrade to Level 2, private gatherings are limited to 8 people throughout the province, events and assemblies are limited to 99 people, and events and assemblies with 100 or more people are prohibited.
Entertainment facilities and singing practice rooms are restricted from operating after midnight, and restaurants and cafes can only offer takeout and delivery from midnight to 5 a.m. the next day.
Religious facilities are prohibited from holding meetings, events, meals, and lodging, and the total capacity is limited from the current 50% to 30%.
Additionally, private gatherings at entertainment facilities and singing practice rooms are limited to 4 people, and exceptions for private gatherings and vaccination incentive applications are excluded.
Even those who have completed vaccination are not exempt from the limits on private gatherings and multi-use facility usage, and masks must be worn at all times outdoors.
As a special quarantine measure for entertainment facilities, it is strongly recommended to conduct COVID-19 diagnostic tests once every two weeks, and only those who test negative can work there.
