Goseong-gun Supports Jeonse Deposit Return Insurance Premiums for 5 Young and Newlywed Households
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will start accepting applications for the youth and newlywed couple jeonse deposit return guarantee premium support project from the 15th.
The 'jeonse deposit return guarantee premium' refers to the insurance premium that compensates for losses when a tenant who has signed a lease contract for a residential house subscribes to a return guarantee insurance and fails to receive the jeonse deposit due to auction, public sale, or termination/expiration of the jeonse contract.
This project is a pilot project of Gyeongsangnam-do, which fully supports the return guarantee premium paid when youth and newlywed couples subscribe to the jeonse deposit return guarantee.
The guarantee subscription institutions include Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), Seoul Guarantee Insurance (SGI), and entrusted financial institutions (Shinhan, Kookmin, Woori, NH Nonghyup, Gyeongnam Bank, etc.).
The support targets are non-homeowners youth and newlywed couples who have signed a lease contract with a deposit of 100 million KRW or less. For youth, the age must be between 19 and 39 years old (based on the jeonse deposit return guarantee subscription date), and for newlywed couples, the marriage period must be within 7 years.
The subscription and renewal dates for the return guarantee are from October 2019 to December 2021, and all criteria such as being below 180% of the median income must be met.
However, those whose jeonse deposit return guarantee period has expired as of the application date, tenants who are corporate business entities, and tenants of private rental housing obligated to subscribe to the deposit return guarantee are excluded from the support target.
This year, support will be provided to 5 households on a first-come, first-served basis.
