Pulmuone's Vegan Ramen 'Jeongmyeon·Jeongbibimmyun' Surpasses 5 Million Packs Sold
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Pulmuone's vegan ramen has surpassed 5 million cumulative sales.
On the 14th, Pulmuone Foods announced that the sales of its two vegan ramen products, "Jeongmyeon" and "Jeong Bibimmyun," made using only plant-based ingredients and officially certified vegan by the Korea Vegan Certification Institute, have exceeded 5 million packs.
"Jeongmyeon," the first vegan ramen certified by the Korea Vegan Certification Institute, recorded cumulative sales of 2 million packs within four months after its launch in August 2020, and has steadily sold over 4.2 million packs this month. Jeongmyeon has maintained consistent monthly sales without decline, showing a different pattern from typical new products. Most new products experience a sharp increase in sales for about six months after launch, followed by a drop to less than half of that volume.
"Jeong Bibimmyun," which debuted in April, sold 1 million packs in about three months. Jeong Bibimmyun also began gaining word-of-mouth popularity among vegans first. With its chewy texture unique to dried noodles and generous bibim sauce, it is gaining recognition as a "delicious bibimmyun" among general consumers. Jeong Bibimmyun recently obtained vegan certification from the Korea Vegan Certification Institute, following Jeongmyeon.
