Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Develops Support Measures for Innovative Technologies to Spread the Second Venture Boom
Holding a Meeting to Share R&D Projects of Venture Companies Using the The Dream Smart Center
[Gwangyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Minsik) held a business briefing session on the 13th at the 6th floor of the World Marine Center, The Dream Smart Center, to foster technology for small and venture companies.
About 14 people, including the authority's officials and representatives from related venture companies, attended the briefing session.
At the event, the attendees explained detailed information about the new technology projects each company is promoting and shared methods for developing core technologies. They also agreed to cooperate mutually to seek progressive measures in the future.
The new technology projects shared that day included △ Artificial Intelligence Port Safety Management System (Seedronics) △ AI-based Tugboat and Pilot Boat Information System Analysis and Operation System (iWorks) △ Port Facility Management System incorporating IoT technology (Human IT World) △ Smart Port Logistics Warehouse Integrated Management System (Rain Eye) △ Marine Environment (Air Quality and Water Quality) Monitoring System (Woori Io).
The authority plans to expand support by preparing various support projects such as technology fostering education, overseas market development, technology protection, and technology personnel linkage to continuously support the expansion of marine new technologies and businesses of venture companies.
President Cha Minsik stated, “Maintaining the venture ecosystem is more important than anything else to become a sustainable growth engine,” and added, “We will actively support this meeting to play a leading role in developing new technologies in the shipping and logistics fields.”
