SugenTech Registers Antigen Self-Test Kit Capable of Detecting Delta Variant in the UK
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] SuzenTech announced on the 12th that it has completed the registration of its COVID-19 antigen self-test diagnostic kit ‘SGTi-flex COVID-19 Ag(Self-testing)’ in the United Kingdom.
The registered SuzenTech antigen self-test diagnostic kit allows for a simple test by collecting nasal swab specimens from patients suspected of infection, with results available within 15 minutes. Since it targets antigen regions of the virus that rarely mutate, it can also diagnose the Delta variant.
SuzenTech’s antigen self-test diagnostic kit is the first product in Korea to receive the official European approval CE CoC (Certificate of Conformity). It has secured sales authorization throughout Europe, including Germany, Austria, and Belgium.

A SuzenTech official stated, “In addition to this self-test antigen diagnostic kit, we have also completed registration with the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for a total of five antibody test kits, including ‘SGTi-Self COVID-19 IgM/IgG.’ As the Delta variant has recently emerged as the ‘dominant strain’ worldwide and major European countries are strengthening quarantine measures again, we will do our best to expand exports of diagnostic kits to the UK and Europe in the second half of the year.”
