Gwangju Seo-gu 'Daycare Center Burn Care Network Establishment Project' Receives Positive Response
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) is receiving great responses for the ‘Daycare Center Video Care Network Construction Project,’ a new initiative developed to respond to the post-COVID-19 era.
According to Seo-gu on the 12th, this project supports laptops for national and public daycare centers and parents of enrolled children to connect remotely. Using video conferencing programs, parents participating in classes can communicate while watching their children in real time.
The pilot operation was conducted once a month for four months from April to this month at the National Public Yang 3-dong Daycare Center.
To provide diverse childcare tailored to infants and toddlers, the program included ‘Physical Rhythm Classes’ in April, ‘Toy Play Classes’ in May, ‘Delicious Meal Time’ last month, and ‘Ballet Classes’ this month.
Children participating in the classes gathered in front of the laptop, happily calling out to their mothers when they saw their mothers’ faces on the laptop screen, creating a heartwarming scene.
A Seo-gu official said, “As a result of the four-month pilot operation, most parents who participated in the program showed very positive responses, and from the second half of the year, we plan to expand the operation to 11 national and public daycare centers in the district.”
