The Blue House announced that it will apply the "Election Period National Petition Operation Policy," which includes this provision, from the start date of preliminary candidate registration on the 12th until the election day on March 9 next year, ahead of the 20th presidential election.
During this period, national petitions that support or defame specific candidates or parties, which could influence the election, will be kept private. Even when petitions with over 200,000 agreements require a response, responses to election-related petitions will be postponed until after the election day.
