Today (the 11th), the Daejeon Police Agency's Women and Juvenile Investigation Unit announced that they have requested an arrest warrant for a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges of abandoning a corpse and violating the Child Welfare Act. A is suspected of placing her deceased daughter's body in an icebox and leaving it inside her residence in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.
On the 9th, the police received a report of suspected child abuse from another family member of A. Subsequently, the police discovered the victim child's body at A's home and requested an autopsy.
