'Full Effort on Summer Resort Security'... Gangwon Police Agency Operates 'Summer Police Stations'
Social Distancing at Beaches and Crime Prevention Assessment of Public Facilities Conducted
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency announced on the 11th that it will operate summer police stations at six major beaches in Gangwon Province, including Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung, until August 29.
In particular, this year, as more tourists are expected to visit Gangwon Province compared to last year, the agency plans to cooperate with local governments based on the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' social distancing and beach operation guidelines to do its best in COVID-19 prevention management.
As major beaches in the province open sequentially, joint crime prevention inspections will be conducted with local governments targeting public facilities such as public restrooms and shower rooms before and after the beach openings.
