[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, announced that the fundraising for his campaign exceeded 900 million KRW in just one day, with 95.1% of the donations being small amounts under 100,000 KRW.
On the 10th, Lee posted on Facebook titled "Seed Money for the Great Transformation of the Republic of Korea... Deeply Thankful," expressing his gratitude by saying, "Thank you, thank you again," and "Many people truly responded to the request to support Lee Jae-myung."
He especially noted, "In just one day since the donation account was made public, the donations have already surpassed 900 million KRW," and "95.1% of the total donations are small amounts under 100,000 KRW."
He continued, "That shows how many people have opened their hearts," and "Even during these difficult times due to COVID-19, I deeply bow in gratitude to everyone who generously donated, and I will solemnly cherish the precious feelings contained in the donations."
