Police Arrest Man in His 60s for Throwing Dumbbell from Apartment Rooftop: "I Just Wanted to Throw It"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man in his 60s who hinted at an extreme choice and threw dumbbells from the rooftop of an apartment building was arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 10th, the Jungnang Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 60s, Mr. A, on charges including attempted special injury.
Mr. A is accused of calling the police around 7:30 p.m. on the 6th, reporting "I came up to die" from the rooftop of an apartment, and then throwing two 2kg dumbbells, one 8kg kettlebell, and one metal chair.
The police who responded to the report witnessed Mr. A throwing objects, arrested him on the spot, and applied for an arrest warrant. The warrant was issued on the 8th. There were no casualties, but part of a nearby store's terrace was damaged.
