Gyeongnam Province Transforms Sewage Treatment Plants into 'Smart Sewage Treatment Plants' through Automation
Selected Four Locations in the Province: Changwon-si, Yangsan-si, Geochang-gun, Hapcheon-gun
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 9th that Changwon-si, Yangsan-si, Geochang-gun, and Hapcheon-gun have been selected for the Ministry of Environment's Green New Deal public project, investing 11.9 billion KRW by 2024.
This project is a pilot project to establish a smart sewer management system applying automated operational technology integrated with information and communication technology.
The "Smart Sewer Management System" is an intelligent sewage treatment plant project that builds digital-based data for energy saving, water quality improvement, and remaining lifespan prediction.
This project accurately diagnoses the sewage treatment process with smart measuring instruments and uses big data-based decision-making and control methods.
By integrating 4th industrial revolution technologies into the design, construction, and operation of existing sewage treatment plants, it automatically treats wastewater and sewage at low cost.
