"Let's Follow Kongsuni Gymnastics" LG Hello, Child Health Promotion Project
Support of 'Hello Health Kit' to Child Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] LG HelloVision has stepped up as a guardian of children's health.
LG HelloVision announced on the 9th that it will carry out the 'Children's Health Promotion Project' in collaboration with Green Umbrella Child Fund and Young Toys, providing health kits and producing exercise videos. This initiative comes in response to the recent rise in physical and psychological health issues among children, such as so-called 'COVID obesity,' due to increased remote learning and staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
LG HelloVision, together with Young Toys, produced exercise videos featuring the popular character Kongsuni. The videos include music and movements that children can easily follow, such as Jumping Song, Exercise Song, and Taekwondo Exercise. The exercise videos will be available from 1 PM today on the Kongsuni, Secret Jouju, and LG HelloVision YouTube channels.
Additionally, a challenge program has been prepared to help children feel motivated and accomplished in exercising. The health challenge involves exercising twice a week for a total of eight weeks and keeping an exercise diary, with outstanding participants being selected and awarded.
This project was planned in response to concerns from local children's centers that managing children's health has become more difficult, especially for vulnerable groups experiencing increased care gaps.
LG HelloVision will also provide 'Hello Health Kits,' including exercise equipment such as exercise mats and children's stretching bands. These kits will be distributed to about 200 children using child welfare facilities under the Green Umbrella Child Fund. Furthermore, 10 local children's centers will receive smart scales and trampolines to support systematic health management and physical activity classes.
Lee Je-hoon, Chairman of the Green Umbrella Child Fund, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the companies that planned and carried out the children's health promotion project with a heart for children," and added, "We hope that corporate social responsibility activities that utilize each company's strengths will spread further."
