Coupang Gimhae and Goyang Logistics Centers Closed Due to COVID-19 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Coupang announced on the 8th that it has closed two logistics centers located in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, and Goyang, Gyeonggi, after COVID-19 cases were confirmed at the centers.
At the Gimhae 1 Logistics Center, two employees tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day. This center is known to handle fresh food products. The infected individuals worked from the afternoon of the 6th until early morning of the 7th, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the previous day, respectively.
At the Goyang 1 Logistics Center, two employees also tested positive on the same day, leading to its closure in the afternoon. This center handles general merchandise excluding fresh food. The company will decide whether to resume operations after consulting with health authorities.
