Kakao Games Acquires Leisure and Sports Communication Company 'Senatechnology'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kakao Games is acquiring the global leisure and sports communication specialist company 'Senatechnology.'
Kakao Games announced on the 8th that it will acquire 2,676,750 shares, representing 54.5% of Senatechnology's stake, for approximately 95.2 billion KRW.
Founded in 1998, Senatechnology manufactures wireless communication devices and smart helmets for bicycles, motorcycles, and skiing. It holds a 60% market share in the global motorcycle wireless communication device market and recorded sales of 111.1 billion KRW last year.
Kakao Games plans to expand its business by linking Senatechnology's technology with Kakao VX's sports and healthcare services.
