Emphasizing 'freedom' and 'fairness,' this marked his de facto first economic move.
In his opening remarks, Yoon said, "Even the large companies in our country were all startups in the past," adding, "The process of companies growing started from startups, but in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we must note that the speed at which startups grow is much faster than before." Present at the site were startup CEOs, including Ko Young-ha, Chairman of the Korea Angel Investment Association, and Choi Sung-jin, CEO of Korea Startup.
Yoon continued, "The most important factor in the national economy is dynamism, and to provide economic dynamism, freedom must be given," adding, "Freedom, creativity, a liberal atmosphere where any discussion and any attempt can be made must fundamentally be the basis for economic dynamism to arise."
He also mentioned that when small companies grow into large companies, fair opportunities and corresponding rewards must be provided. Yoon said, "I believe politics should not interfere with free corporate activities, and efforts should be made to be vigilant so that such corporate activities are not swayed by politics."

Meanwhile, Yoon is actively expanding the ‘anti-Moon Jae-in tent.’ Following meetings with Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province and a People Power Party presidential candidate, and Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, he is scheduled to have dinner with former lawmaker Kim Young-hwan, known as a ‘sharpshooter’ against Lee Jae-myung. This appears to be part of a political plan to create a ‘Big Plate.’ In April, Kim returned his merit certificate after the Democratic Party proposed a bill to expand benefits for democratization activists. Recently, he posted on his Facebook, "Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, put on your pants and go immediately to Bundang Police Station."
