The official added, "From this perspective, the second half of the year’s South Korea-U.S. joint exercises should be wisely and flexibly judged by comprehensively considering factors such as the COVID-19 situation, military demands including the transfer of wartime operational control, and the creation of dialogue conditions for denuclearization and peace settlement on the Korean Peninsula."
