Incheon City Supports Interest on Student Loans for University Students... Applications Accepted Until the 12th of Next Month
Including Unemployed Persons Within 2 Years After Graduation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City will accept applications for 'Student Loan Interest Support' from the 13th of this month to August 12th to alleviate the educational expenses burden on university students.
Selected applicants through document screening will receive interest support on loans from the Korea Student Aid Foundation for the period from the first semester of 2019 to the first semester of 2021, covering interest accrued from January to June of this year.
Eligible applicants must have either their parents or themselves registered as residents in Incheon City for more than one year, be enrolled or on leave from universities nationwide, or be unemployed within two years after graduation.
Applications can be submitted online through the Incheon City website, attaching the required documents. Families with three or more children can receive support without income restrictions by additionally submitting a family relation certificate.
Loan information will be obtained from the Korea Student Aid Foundation, and after screening, interest support is planned to be provided by the end of October. The selection results can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website.

As a pledge project of the 7th Incheon City administration, the city has been promoting the student loan interest support program since 2019, supporting 7,326 people with a total of 230 million KRW so far.
