Providing Upgraded Customized Health and Welfare Services
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 5th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 2nd with KT Corporation (CEO Koo Hyun-mo) to lead digital platform-based health management services for the elderly.
The signing ceremony was attended by about 20 officials, including Gokseong-gun Governor Yoo Geun-gi, Ryu Pyeong, Head of KT Jeonnam-Jeonbuk Corporation, and Ahn Ki-chang, Head of KT Buk Gwangju Branch. Both organizations will collaborate to provide health management services necessary for the elderly based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things).
According to the agreement, KT will provide monitoring and control services for vulnerable elderly groups, while Gokseong-gun will play a role in distributing various health management programs using data collected through the AI robot platform.
Gokseong-gun expects the digital platform to serve as an opportunity to provide improved health and welfare services to elderly people who have not been able to receive adequate health services due to mobility difficulties.
In particular, it is anticipated that elderly individuals will be able to enhance their self-management abilities regarding their health by frequently checking their health status information.
