Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Supports Market Expansion Through Online and Offline Channels
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hyundai Department Store Duty Free is taking steps to nurture eco-friendly brands created by domestic small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
On the 4th, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced that it signed a tripartite business agreement (MOU) with Seoul Business Agency and Global Influencer Unit (GIU) to carry out the 'My Green Duty' campaign aimed at supporting market expansion for eco-friendly K-brands.
Under this agreement, Seoul Business Agency will identify small eco-friendly brands with excellent product competitiveness but struggling to find market channels, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free will handle promotion and market support, and GIU will conduct marketing through influencers.
Hyundai Department Store Duty Free will operate the 'My Green Duty' pop-up store on the 13th floor of the Dongdaemun branch from the 5th to September 30th. The pop-up store will feature over 30 brands selected by Seoul Business Agency, including the vegan skincare brand 'Muldeulim', the Korean vegan-certified beauty brand 'Sosohan', and the eco-friendly hemp mask brand 'Bema'.
From the 5th to the 9th, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free will also hold live commerce events selling eco-friendly brands on Naver Shopping Live for five days. Influencers affiliated with GIU will participate to promote the products. Additionally, from the 18th to the 22nd, live commerce will be conducted on the Chinese Hallyu platform 'Hanguk TV' app to introduce the excellence of domestic eco-friendly brands to Chinese consumers.
A Hyundai Department Store Duty Free official stated, "Brands that receive positive customer responses during this campaign will have the opportunity to be officially listed at Hyundai Department Store Duty Free," adding, "We will continue to do our best to fulfill corporate social responsibility."
