Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation Signs Business Agreement with Three Major Consumer Cooperatives

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced on the 4th that it has decided to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management in collaboration with Korea's representative consumer cooperatives, Dure Cooperative, iCOOP, and Hansalim. They also pledged to faithfully fulfill their primary mission of providing safe food to the public.
aT stated that it signed a business agreement with the three cooperatives on the 2nd at the aT Center in Seoul. They agreed to cooperate on supplying safe eco-friendly agricultural products, resource recycling and carbon reduction, and sharing eco-friendly social values.
To implement ESG management, the corporation will support collaborative funds for eco-friendly packaging materials. Customized cooperative projects for each institution will also be promoted. Specifically, projects include using paper packaging instead of vinyl packaging (Dure Cooperative), distributing eco-friendly paper-pack bottled water (iCOOP), and producing recycled insulated bags (Hansalim).
