View original image[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] On the day the Los Angeles Dodgers, the 2023 World Series champions in Major League Baseball (MLB), visited the White House, the sexual assault allegations against star pitcher Trevor Bauer were made public.
According to CNBC on the 2nd (local time), the MLB office announced that an investigation into Bauer's sexual assault allegations is underway. Bauer was immediately placed on administrative leave for one week.
MLB stated that the Pasadena Police Department in California is investigating Bauer's sexual assault case and that a detailed explanation will be provided soon.
Bauer's sexual assault case came to light on the same day the Dodgers visited the White House as the reigning World Series champions, adding to the shock.

Bauer won the National League Cy Young Award last year and signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Dodgers this year.
President Biden welcomed the Dodgers team along with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is from California, and Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
