Ceremony and Press Conference Omitted for Citizen Safety
Reflections Shared in a Letter of Appreciation for the 3rd Year of the 7th Elected Term
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwanju] On the 2nd, Kim San, the governor of Muan County, sent a letter of gratitude to the residents regarding the achievements of the county administration and the future direction of the county government on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the 7th local election administration.
Muan County simplified the 3rd anniversary event of the 7th local election administration by omitting the commemorative ceremony and press conference, sharing the hardships with residents suffering from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, preventing the spread of infectious diseases in the community, and ensuring the safety of residents, instead conducting a visit to the Memorial Tower and sending letters of gratitude.
Governor Kim San included in his letter the intention to promote resident-centered administration to realize Muan’s long-term vision under a new city brand called “Muan, the Capital Platform of Jeonnam,” aiming to lead the future of Jeonnam.
Governor Kim said, “Transportation infrastructure centered on Muan County, the regional economic revitalization focused on the aviation industry as a new growth engine, and continuous population inflow through new town development will enable a sustainable future for our county.”
He emphasized, “To ensure peace of mind for both current and future generations, we will protect Muan County from the military airport and transform it into Muan City, creating a region where young people can plan a greater future.”
He continued, “To preserve the values that our county must protect, we will listen to the voices of residents, communicate more deeply, integrate, and never stop the steps of change and innovation. I hope you will join us on the journey toward a bright future for Muan County.”
He also stated, “With the operation of two vaccination centers, vaccinations for seniors aged 75 and older have been rapidly completed. Going forward, vaccinations will be carried out quickly and safely for all residents.”
