SK Telecom, Ranked No.1 in Korea Service Quality Index for 22 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] SK Telecom announced on the 1st that it ranked first place for 22 consecutive years in the mobile telecommunications sector of the 2021 Korea Service Quality Index (KS-SQI) organized by the Korea Standards Association.
Five companies in the SK Telecom ICT family took first place in six categories. SK Broadband ranked first for seven consecutive years in the high-speed internet category, and IPTV achieved the first-ever sole first place since the survey began, maintaining first place for three consecutive years. ADT Caps took its first joint first place in the unmanned security sector. SK Telink achieved sole first place in international calls (13 consecutive years), and 11st secured sole first place in e-commerce (14 consecutive years).
SK Telecom evaluated that the results were influenced by its efforts to improve customer experience by integrating cutting-edge ICT technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the introduction of social quality factors measuring the degree of social value orientation in this year’s KS-SQI evaluation criteria, recognizing SK Telecom’s ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management activities.
Lee Ki-yoon, Head of Customer Value Innovation at SK Telecom, said, “SK Telecom’s continuous efforts to provide customers with the highest quality service have been recognized with the result of ranking first place for 22 consecutive years in KS-SQI,” and emphasized, “Going forward, SK Telecom family companies will achieve service quality advancement that allows customers to feel pride through sincere customer value innovation activities.”

KS-SQI is an index quantified by the Korea Standards Association by measuring satisfaction in eight areas?professionalism, sincerity, proactiveness, social value, and others?based on customers who have used domestic companies’ products and services.
