Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants to Hold 'Symposium on ESG Expert Training Plans' on the 7th
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 1st that it will hold the 'Symposium on ESG Expert Training Measures' jointly with the Korean Accounting Association on the 7th of this month.
This symposium is an opportunity to introduce the ESG expert training measures planned by the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants and to hear opinions from experts. It aims to actively respond to the rapidly growing social interest and increasing demand for ESG and to enhance the reliability of corporate ESG information.
At the symposium, following the opening remarks by Kim Young-sik, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ko Jong-kwon, President of the Korean Accounting Association, will deliver a welcome address, and Professor Jeon Gyu-an of Soongsil University (member of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants ESG Committee) will present on ESG expert training measures.
Subsequently, Professor Yoo Seung-won of Korea University will serve as the chair, with panelists including Song Byung-kwan, Manager at the Financial Services Commission; Yoon Jin-soo, Head of ESG Business Division at the Korea Corporate Governance Service; Lee Woong-hee, Senior Researcher at the Korean Accounting Standards Board; Lee Ok-soo, Director at Anjin Accounting Corporation; Yoo Jung-min, Quality Control Manager at Gwanggyo Accounting Corporation; Kwon Se-won, Professor at Ewha Womans University; and Lim Seung-kwan, Executive Director at KB Asset Management participating in the panel discussion.
