IBK Industrial Bank, Establishes 'Open API Platform' Service
Data Exchange Among IBK Financial Group Entities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 30th that it established the ‘IBK OpenAPI Platform’ on the 24th to enable rapid business partnerships with external organizations such as big tech and fintech companies and to expand the financial ecosystem.
The OpenAPI platform is a developer support platform that publicly exposes IBK’s financial services and manages them integrally, allowing users to directly develop applications and services. Using the ‘IBK OpenAPI Platform,’ the bank plans to quickly reflect customers’ diverse financial service needs and develop convergence products and services by combining data between the bank and its subsidiaries.
The ‘IBK OpenAPI Platform’ is accessible to anyone through the portal homepage. An environment has also been created where external organizations can conduct pre-tests when launching services using the financial APIs provided by IBK.

An IBK Industrial Bank official said, “With the service opening, API-based partnerships will become more convenient and costs are expected to be reduced,” adding, “We expect it to play an important role in expanding the IBK financial ecosystem through collaboration with big tech·and fintech companies.”
